ABOUT - JENNY SØRENSEN VAAGE

Jenny Sørensen Vaage approaches yoga with a functional and inclusive perspective. Her teaching emphasizes breath, presence, and relaxation, and she consistently offers variations and adaptations to support each participant’s individual needs. Jenny is known for her soothing voice and often concludes her classes with sound baths of mantra chanting. She completed two of her teacher trainings in India (the birthplace of yoga), is certified with Yoga Alliance (E-RYT & YACEP) and a member of the Norwegian Yoga Association. Since completing her initial yoga education in 2018, she has continuously expanded her knowledge through further education and self-studies (an overview of her certifications can be found here).

Jenny works fully as a yoga teacher and has experience from several studios in Bergen, Tromsø and Trondheim, as well as from corporate classes, private sessions, and events - and international yoga travels with Apollo Sports. She has previously been co-owner and manager of InSPIRE Yogastudio in Tromsø. After several years of teaching there, she chose in 2024 to adopt a more flexible lifestyle, allowing her to travel and teach in different locations - and online. From 2022 to 2024 she served on the board of the Norwegian Yoga Teacher Association and is deeply committed to sharing yoga as a philosophy of life.

In 2025 Jenny relocated to Trondheim, where she is co-creator of Studio Ilsvika. Here she offers regular in-person courses and classes, events, corporate yoga and private lessons.

Originally from Bergen, Jenny holds a Master’s degree in Media Studies from the University of Bergen and additional studies in Pedagogy from the University of Tromsø. Her professional background is in art production and event management, and she has extensive experience in creating meaningful and engaging experiences within performing arts, film, festivals, music, and yoga. She has also integrated yoga into art experiences at Galleri NORD and Nordnorsk Kunstmuseum,, and collaborated with artist Sofie Birch on Yin Yoga & Deep Listening for the INSOMNIA FESTIVAL at Small Projects.

Namaste and welcome to Yoga with Jenny.!

“Change is not something that we should fear. Rather, it is something that we should welcome. For without change, nothing in this world would ever grow or blossom, and no one in this world would ever move forward to become the person

they’re meant to be.”
