FIND EASE WITH BREATHWORK

Gentle yoga combines movement and rest. Often starting dynamically with gently strengthening poses, before we find stillness towards the end. This is a slow dynamic class suitable for anyone. You must not be flexible or strong from the outset, the positions are adjusted as needed. We focus particularly on mobility and gentle strengthening exercises in addition to breathing and relaxation.

RECOMMENDED PREPARATIONS FOR ONLINE YOGA

Quiet space

Yoga can be practiced anywhere, but taking a moment to prepare your surroundings can make it easier to focus inward and settling into your practice from the start. If possible, find a quiet, cosy and comfortable space with as few distractions as possible for your practice. A thick yoga mat, blanket or mattress is also recommended to make the practice more comfortable.

Props

It can be very helpful to have a few props (blankets, blocks, bolsters etc). It makes the practice more comfortable and restorative. But you don’t need anything specific to join, and you can also use whatever you have available - pillows can replace bolster and books can be used as blocks if you have two equal sized ones.

Dress comfortably

General advice for yoga practice is to dress comfortably in clothes that doesn’t restrict your movement or take up any of your attention. Yin yoga can be a cooling practice, and it is recommended to dress in warm layers so that you can adjust the temperature when needed. Also nice to wear warm socks.
