Yin yoga is a deep, meditative style of yoga focused on relaxation, breath and awareness. Yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones, and is a great complimentary practice to Yang styles of yoga and other physical exercises. As much as the body needs to exert itself physically, it also needs to relax in more restorative or still poses, as found in Yin yoga. The gentle slowness of Yin yoga provides a counterbalance to our fast-paced world, creating space in the body and increasing flexibility.
It’s slow and meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body.
